Claire the wobbly cat
A private rescuer in Ellensburg, Washington called us about Claire. She didn't think she had the best environment for Claire, who has cerebellar hypoplasia and thus wobbles and flops when she walks.
The rescuer knew we had Wobbles, another cat with the same condition, and hoped we could take Claire.
Other cats don't always like the wobblers because they fall all over them, and we had actually hoped to find a companion just for Wobbles. Along came Claire.

When we saw her for the first time, we were struck by just how much she looked like Wobbles...almost like twins. Oddly, they both came from the same part of Washington (Wobbles from Moses Lake, just down I-90 from Ellensburg), had the same disability, were the same age, and both ended up in shelters. The only thing different is that Claire has an extra toe on each front paw.
Could they have started out in the same litter of kittens? We'll never know. But for now it's sheer wobble-mania in their cottage, that's for sure. Or, as we like to say, “We've been wobbed!”
